The Director, Sr Mary Geason, echoed what the Government of Kenya is doing in conserving Mau forest by leading her staff in tree planting at Mukuru geared towards environmental conservation. The decision to plant trees on the compound was made by the Head Office staff at one of their regular meetings, and all participated in the event with great enthusiasm.
